BIOGRAPHY: 

Mr. Shapiro has been a practicing civil litigation attorney since his admission to the Florida Bar in 1989.  In addition to his State Court practice, Mr. Shapiro practices in Federal Court, having been admitted into the Federal Bar for the Southern District of Florida, and has also appeared in several cases in the Middle District of Florida. 

Mr. Shapiro focuses his practice on civil trial cases and has handled over one thousand matters during the span of is career.  With a broad background in multiple disciplines of civil law, Mr. Shapiro has also handled a select number of appeals, always in an effort to fully service client's' needs when further challenged via appeal.

Attorney Lawrence J. Shapiro earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor Campus, with a dual major in Economics and Political Science.  During his undergraduate coursework, Mr. Shapiro hosted a radio talk show on various topics and honed his oratory skills. 

Mr. Shapiro earned his juris doctor degree from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he participated in a specialized accelerated summer entry program.  During his law studies, Mr. Shapiro represented his law school in a national moot court competition, and placed into the quarter final rounds competing against law students from around the country.  Mr. Shapiro participated in the Intensive Trial Advocacy Program, clerked for a New York State Supreme Court Judge, and worked for the Manhattan law firm of Weg and Myers, P.C..  The pinnacle of Mr. Shapiro's law school experience was having been selected by his school to petition the United States Supreme Court for a Writ of Certiorari in a matter which involved then recently enacted RICO legislation.

In addition to his law school studies, Mr. Shapiro participated in, and completed a variety of, coursework at the University of Miami's Masters in Law Program, concentrating in the areas of Real Property, Land Development and Finance Law.

Mr. Shapiro currently represents a variety of real estate related client's, publications, corporate entities, condominium associations and also provides legal services and counsel to individuals involved in business and personal disputes.

Lawrence J. Shapiro is a member of the Florida Bar, The Untied States District Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the Florida Bar's Real Property and probate Law Section.  Mr. Shapiro has also volunteered his time to those in need and has handled a number of pro bono causes.
